Who doesn’t love a good baked ziti?!
You can find my sauce recipe on my blog or use any jarred sauce you love..
(But I recommend making mine, obviously) – Casey’s Spoon Lick’n Sauce!
Casey’s Simple Baked Ziti –
✨1 lb of ziti
✨8oz of sauce
✨7oz of shredded mozzarella
✨1 1/2 cups of ricotta
✨3 tablespoons of grated parmesan
✨1 teaspoon of dried oregano
✨salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1. Cook your pasta according to package instructions. Drain well and pour into your ziti dish.
2. Mix in 3/4 of your sauce, 3/4 of your mozzarella, 1 cup or ricotta and stir to combine and smooth out the ziti.
3. Over the top sprinkle the remaining mozzarella, oregano and your Parmesan.. Break your 1/2 cup of ricotta up and scatter it over the top as well. Spoon the remaining sauce over the top.
4. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes to form the gooey crispy top! Salt, pepper, and serve!
You can add in sliced sausage, ground meat or shredded chicken if you want to meat it up!
Or offer that on the side so you have options for both vegetarians & non vegetarians! 🙂
